I wandered lonely as a cow

When I was a college student, reading "I wandered lonely as a cloud" by William Wordsworth in class, I happened to misread the word "cloud" and immediately realized that the change was great!

William Wordsworth remains one of my favourite poets. So does this short parody. I couldn't help smmiling when reciting it silently.

I wandered lonely as a cow,
And died sad as a bee,
And lied down cold with earth above,
No daffodil to see.

And I was buried on the field
Drained by a lonely stream
Where roses fade and lilies yield
To mourn my broken dream.
